Our Own Label defines the most ethically manufactured products and products sourced or manufactured to have the least impact on the environment throughout their life cycle, compared to comparable products within its own classification.
We strictly avoid the use of phrases such as “environmentally” or “Eco” friendly as we believe it is misleading and untrue. All manmade products have an impact on the environment. Our aim is to reduce the environmental impact on manufacture, supply and life cycle to the highest possible standard.

The Fairtrade Foundation is the independent non-profit organisation that licenses use of the FairTrade Mark on products in the UK in accordance with internationally agreed FairTrade standards.
FairTrade is a strategy for poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Its purpose is to create opportunities for producers and workers who have been economically disadvantaged or marginalized by the conventional trading system. If fair access to markets under better trade conditions would help them to overcome barriers to development, they can join FairTrade.
FairTrade certification gives small-scale cotton farmers in the developing world the power to improve their livelihoods by ensuring they receive a fair and stable price for their cotton and the additional FairTrade Premium that is set aside and used in community development projects.
